We are proud to present the WorldStamps.com - Frank Geiger Philatelists family. Our office is set in beautiful Pinehurst, NC, an area filled with many of the finest golf courses anywhere. We enjoy both our work and the beautiful area in which to do it!
FRANK has been a Professional Philatelist since graduating from M.I.T. with two degrees in 1969. He started dealing in stamps at age 7 in the second grade! Over the past 40 years he has built a tremendous stock of stamps ranging from classics to rarities to FDC's to Year Sets. His non-philatelic interests are golf, sports, reading and traveling.
FRANK III has joined the WorldStamps business as a full-time partner. He recently graduated summa cum laude from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY with a degree in Finance and also attained his CPA. Frank joins us after spending two years in Public Accounting in the Northeast. He serves as our resident computer guru as well as buying philatelic inventory and overseeing USA sales. He keeps our multi-station network humming and assisted in the development of the logic behind our unique WorldStamps.com website 14 years ago. Frank also creates WorldStamps scans which allows efficient input of many images at once and most recently created a complicated multi-variate algorithm to prioritize our incoming orders. He enjoys politics, world events, pets, music and cooking.
JOAN, who started working here in 2003, creates many of our New Issue Year Sets daily. When taking a break from that task, she has been painstakingly and thoroughly inputting more stock into the website database. She has eased our workload noticeably.
ALEX is our South and Central American input specialist. He spends an impressive amount of his time getting those countries listed for us in proper order, and particularly enjoys handling the beautiful issues of Mexico. Alex enjoys reading, traveling, science, cycling, walking and spending time with animals. He is very much involved in many community affairs such as volunteering at summer camps for Juvenile Diabetics and running allergy support groups, and gives a great amount of time to various humanitarian efforts.
JULIE is now in her last year of college and has been our office "runner." She ran stockbooks to our order desks and kept stock organized and findable. She was responsible for inputting some of the new issues we handle. We miss her greatly in the office while she is back at school; she is now nearing graduation and attainment of her degree in Engineering.
COLLEEN is another member of our staff. As a dog lover, she is fitting in very well in our dog-friendly office and learning about the world of philately. She, too, creates Year Sets as well as sorts our recent large purchases.
ELLEN processes many of the New Issues which arrive daily and helps create our famous Year Sets. She is new to Philately and already tempted to start collections of South Africa and Jersey, stamps she particularly enjoys.
ZIPPY is our Shih Tzu who spends his days in the WorldStamps office. He loves everyone and keeps his eyes and ears open, especially for visitors and treats.
